Innovative design thinking around the involvement and assisting with multiple learning practices (with non-linear associations) to deepen the competencies of an educational practitioner in learning. When we gather on October 22 we will spend some time hearing about other streams of innovation that are not directly related to our think tank field of focus but involve various types of learners. The objective is to derive inspiration and fuel for analogous problem solving, innovation, and sustainability in K-12 classrooms and Higher Education.

Top 40 Game Changers

Ariel Investments and WVON have joined forces on an event that acknowledges the accomplishments of a new generation of business and civic leadership in Chicago. Tammera has been chosen as one of Chicago’s 40 Game Changers for 2018. She will be recognized for her contribution during a special reception and ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria. These dynamic thought-leaders, who are 40 and under, span the gamut of professional and creative industries and demonstrate great promise as the next generation of business and civic influencers.

Obama Foundation Summit

This year's Summit theme is Common Hope. Uncommon Stories. We chose that theme based on an idea that has guided President Obama throughout his life: Though we may come from different backgrounds and hold different beliefs, we are all bound by a shared desire to build a better future for our communities.
As one of the Foundation's inaugural program participants, Tammera has accepted this year's invitation to help advance an ongoing conversation on what community leadership in action means today.
She will also engage in discussions about the development of the Obama Presidential Center and Museum, a place we hope inspires visitors in Chicago and around the world to realize their potential is limitless.
